Each veterinarian attends several continuing education seminars throughout the year to ensure the hospital is offering the highest quality medicine.
Dr. Amy Black
Dr. Amy Black joined the team at Best Friends Animal Hospital in August of 2010. She earned her DVM degree from the University of Florida. After veterinary school, she did a year-long internship at a large referral hospital outside of Chicago, after which she spent three years in general practice in Seattle. Dr. Black is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Florida Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Black's areas of special interest are internal medicine and surgery. She enjoys cooking, reading, gardening and spending time with her husband Mike and daughter Taylor, as well as, their furry babies Ashley the lovable Pit Bull and 2 kitties, Elsa and Olaf.
Dr. Kimberly Seredick
Dr. Kimberly Seredick joined Best Friends Animal Hospital in April of 2014. Dr. Seredick received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. Prior to graduate school, Dr Seredick earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science and Wildlife Ecology and Conservation from UF, where she graduated Cum Laude. Dr. Kim's areas of special interest include feline medicine, internal medicine and surgery. Dr. Seredick is from sunny Florida and has also worked as a veterinary technician for 13 years, which confirmed her dedication to helping animals. She shares her life with her husband Derrick, daughter Rylee and son Connor as well as 2 dogs and 1 cat. Dr. Seredick has a special interest in feline medicine and is helping make our practice feline friendly. She also enjoys surgery and internal medicine, as well as, spending time with her family outdoors, fishing, boating, hiking and camping.
