Nicky is from Massachusetts, born and raised. She also lived in New Mexico for 4yrs. While in MA, she worked for a veterinary clinic in Rhode Island. Nicky started her path towards her love for animals when she attended a hands on Agricultural High School and graduated with a diploma focused on Animal Science. During this time, many different types of animals were handled and cared for. She had also gone through a Veterinary Technician Assistant program where she assisted Dr.’s with surgical procedures and handling. Nicky started out working in an Emergency center as a front-end supervisor. After 3yrs, Nicky then found herself in a general practice veterinary office as a Client Services Representative/Technician Assistant. After 12 years with the practice, it was time to transfer to a warmer climate. Nicky Joined Best Friends in August 2022. Just a few weeks prior to her start here, she fulfilled a lifelong dream and moved to Ft Myers with her Mom, 2 adult sons and four cats (Cookie, Psycho, Shadow and Waffles). Nicky enjoys anything outdoors and spending time with her family and fur babies.
